Greetings All!
I’m happy to announce that after many many months of struggling to find time to work on my website, I’ve finally completed a v1.0 of my redesign. A couple of things you will notice right away.
#1: ashughes.com is now exoteri.ca
I decided to move my old domain, ashughes.com, off GoDaddy and over to a Canadian owned and operated host provider. Part of this migration involved me registering a new domain, exoteri.ca. This change was made not out of necessity — I just felt it was time for a “change”. I made this change about six months ago. It’s taken me this long to get things up and running to my level of satisfaction.
#2: New Look and Feel
While I continue to use WordPress as my platform, I’ve switched up my theme to PageLines. It’s enabled me to give my site a much more professional look, a more usable feel, and is extremely tweakable (ie. less hacking).
My website will serve two purposes going forward:
- A platform to blog about the projects I am working on for Mozilla
- A platform to showcase my photographic (mis)adventures
Anyway, I’ve put a lot of work into getting my website to where it is today. It is in no way close to finished though I feel it is “good enough” to start blogging again. I plan to continue to tweak my site nearly each and every week. I hope you enjoy the fruits of my labour.
