Web QA MDN Automation Test Day – November 15th

November 15, 2013 @ 12:00 am - 5:00 pm

Are you interested in helping Mozilla write automated tests for the brand new, redesigned Mozilla Developer Network? If so then we are hosting a test day that’s perfect for you!

We will be updating automated tests for MDN, also known as the Mozilla Developer Network to run against the beta version of the site, which is due to launch very soon. The automated tests, which live at Github are written in Python and use Selenium to interact with the browser. You can find more information on how we write automated tests at our team page on QMO.

No previous testing experience is required, however some familiarity with Python, or another programming language would be helpful. Moderators will be available on the IRC channel to answer questions and provide guidance.

To cover the work throughout the whole day we have created an Etherpad which provides detailed information about getting your environment set up, and the tasks we’ll be taking on.

Together with your help we want to make this testday a success and ensure the quality of the new MDN. If you have time on Friday, on November 15th, please join us on IRC at #testday.

Thanks in advance!
