With the recent (**happening during the week of May 16th, 2011**) merge from mozilla-aurora to mozilla-beta this will have produced a beta for Firefox 5 on mobile android devices, and we would love to solicit your support towards testing and qualifying available beta builds as part of our testing cycle for the beta period.
We want you to use Firefox mobile (either on your Android phone or via Desktop) and take a close look at the available beta builds that will be available of mobile Firefox 5 beta to assist us in identifying any noticeably major issues found, and ensure that all feature functionality that is included in this upcoming release is properly working. We will also be looking at website compatibility, side by side installs and more. No testing experience is required.
To cover the work throughout the whole day we have created an EtherPad, and a Mozilla Wiki Event Page. Please, feel free to read and use it as a companion during the testday event; and note that more information will be added during the follow-up days up to and including the day of the event on the Friday. There will be moderators at hand in the IRC channel: #testday, to answer any questions you have.
Together with your help we want to make this testday a success and ensure the high quality of Firefox 5 for mobile devices for all of our users world-wide. If you have time on Friday, May 20th, please join us on IRC at #testday!
Your testing and feedback is highly valuable!
Any questions prior or during the testday, please feel free to ask in channel.
