Firefox Testday this Friday, May 27!

May 27, 2011 @ 2:00 am - 5:00 pm

This Friday, May 27, we’re going to have a testday for both Firefox 5 Beta and the Firefox 6 Aurora builds. With our new testday scheduling to be more internationally friendly, we’re starting this testday at 2:00 AM PDT.

We need people to do some exploratory testing with Firefox 5 Beta to look for any last minute issues as we get very close to that release. Additionally, with all of the work going on with Firefox 5 getting it ready for release, Firefox 6 could use some attention. We’re going to focus on bugs where people are looking for a regression window for finding out when Firefox 6 got broken.

Everyone is welcome to this testday — so if you’ve never done anything like this before, don’t let it stop you from attending.  We’ll have Mozilla QA people on hand to teach you what you need to know and guide you through the process.

We hope that you have the time to help us out!  If so, please join us on irc.mozilla.org#testday.  For more information, please see the test plan.

To cover the work throughout the whole day we have created an EtherPad, and a Mozilla Wiki Event Page.  Please, feel free to read and use it as a companion during the testday event; and note that more information will be added during the follow-up days up to and including the day of the event on the Friday. There will be moderators at hand in the IRC channel: #testday, to answer any questions you have.

Download Firefox 5 Beta builds or Firefox 6 Aurora builds.

Your testing and feedback is highly valuable!

Any questions prior or during the testday, please feel free to ask in channel.

Hope to see you attend our testday event!

Thanks in advance!
