Getting Started: Automated Testing on Firefox OS

March 20, 2014

Zac Campbell will be leading a hands-on workshop to introduce automated testing on Firefox OS. It will be at the brand new Mozilla Mountain View office!

We’ll start with food and beverages at 6:30pm, start the program at 7pm with announcements and turn the mic over to Zac for his presentation and Q&A.

Abstract: A hands on/interactive tutorial for beginner and novice automated testers. We’ll get you started with Firefox OS suitable for all skill levels of automated testing. We’ll walk you through sending Webdriver commands to Firefox OS, building a test, and evolving the test into a testing framework. Along the way you’ll pick up knowledge about Firefox OS and how advanced web technologies like HTML5 and CSS3 are being put to use in the mobile world.

Bring your laptop (Any OS is OK but Linux or Mac preferred). A Firefox OS device is not required!  Participants with an advanced skill level will be able to skip ahead and build on the tutorial’s base to write more advanced test cases.

Bio: Zac Campbell is Firefox OS test automation lead with years of Selenium/WebDriver automation experience. Based at Mozilla’s London office.
