Introduction to Mozilla’s Web QA team

Syndicator

Hi, welcome to the blog for Mozilla’s Web QA team.

As our name suggests we manage the QA for Mozilla’s websites. We use a combination of manual exploratory testing and automated testing for finding regression bugs.

For our manual testing we use MozTrap (Mozilla’s open source test case management tool) and test in Firefox and pre-release Firefox versions (Beta, Aurora and Nightly). Our manual testing team will be posting about manual testing techniques and how to spot bugs.

In our automated testing endeavours we use Python, py.test, Selenium/WebDriver and Jenkins to form a CI testing environment. We’ll be posting blog posts with WebDriver code samples, Jenkins setup strategies and other snippets that we’ve learnt a long the way.

We hope you find the blog useful and remember you can learn these skills first-hand by volunteering with the Web QA team.
