I Have Been Wondering About The Beta's. When Are We Releasing It To The Public?

When It's Not A Beta Anymore?

Greetings to all our testers running Windows Vista!  Sometime in mid-March Vista SP1 is expected to be deployed, and we could certainly use some extra eyes on Vista after the launch.  In particular we want to make sure things like crash reporter, default browser, and the OS integration pieces work properly.

The Mozilla QA team is interested in building a mailing list that we will use to communicate with community members interested in helping us test release candidate and developer builds.  The primary goal of this testing will be to help identify regressions or issues before the final bits are shipped. Note: This is not intended to be a general beta program.

....You're not too late for Round 2!   Last week was a great time for eager beavers to help test out pre-released builds of Firefox 3 Beta 1.   It was such a hit, that we've decided to extend one more week for everyone to help us bless the beta before releasing next week.   So join us tomorrow (11/16) between 7am - 5pm PST on irc.mozilla.org, channel #testday, grab a pre-released beta 1 rc3 build , and have some Mozilla fun!

Team Mozilla QA could use your help!

I see the nightly builds for Firefox in every language BUT US ENglish.  Why is this?

There are US versions under TRUNK, which appears to be pre-versions of Firefox 3.0--is this the same thing?  To me, this looks more like alpha of 3.0, but maybe I'm wrong.

If you've got especially either Mac OS X 10.4 or Windows Vista, Mozilla QA would be very appreciative of and interested in any testing help you can provide for the Download Manager.

Bug 103487 has landed, which now means we *should* integrate with the various anti-virus vendors' software.
