QMO Localization Planning

Figuring out whether or not we need to translate QMO content to other languages

Project Owner: tchungMozQA Badge

Project Details

The Mozilla QA community is truly global and we want to make sure we do everything we can to help others contribute to the Mozilla project. Although localization may not be feasible for every part of the site, we should discuss which pages are most valuable to non-English speakers and work together to get some content translated.

How you can help...

If you are willing to translate content on QMO to your language, please join this project and we will discuss details soon.

Ideas for making this work

Currently, localizers report that there is no easy way to take content here and easily localize them.   There needs to be some sort of l10n module that can make this easier.   Secondly, i think localizers would want their own site (eg. http://quality.mozilla.org/de for German community).  That way they can own whatever content they want to post there and create projects they seem fit.   They can also have the option (if drupal 6 l10n module works), to translate any of the existing projects we are posting on this site.
Thoughts on how to make this happen?   Tomcat found this nifty flash video that can translate strings:  http://hojtsy.hu/files/l10n_client.swf
