Project Details

This project is specifically for people who are new to the Mozilla community. We would like new members to discuss issues in this forum thread and hopefully work to provide people new to the project with the tools and documentation that they need to be successful in our great community.

How you can help...

  1. *Join our regular testing events
  2. *Work on an existing project or create a new one
  3. *Do some testing on your own, and find bugs!
  4. *Work on creating automated tools
  5. *Help with documentation and test case writing

There is lots to explore on QMO - Check out the existing projects to see if there is one you may be interested in!  Please email marcia@mozilla.org with any questions.  Thanks.

DISCUSSING ABOUT DOWNLOAD SYSTEM AND USER INTERFACE IN FIREFOX

oNE TIME i CAME OVER TO MY FRIENDS HOUSE. hE DIDNT HAVE FIREFOX HE HAD GOOGLE CHROME. nOW I BELIEVE THAT CHROME REALLY SUCKS (but i do liike some google apps).
So I played around with chrome and one thing kept bugging me, because in any of the firefox versions, firefox didnt have it. The thing is, a nice interface.
Fiirefox is just a bunch of buttons and stuff. I picked firefox because its fast and its easy to custimize. BUT ALL THAT YOU CAN REALLY CUSTIMIZE IN FIREFOX IS THE BUTTONS AND ADD PICTURES ON THE MENUS. ON CHROME YOU CANT CUSTIMIZE AT ALL (not that I know of)> SO WHY DOESNT THE FIREFOX TEAM TRY TO MAKE A NICER INTERFACE FOR FIREFOX. ALSO THE DOWNLOAD SYSTEM IS FAST BUT NOT LIKE SOME BROWSERS (LIKE CHROME). wHEN YOU DOWNLOAD SOMETHING ON CHROME IT SHOWS IT ON THE BOTTOM. IT SHOWS EVERY DOWNLOAD. nOT JUST A MESSEGE SAYING "Downloads are 35% complete" or something (i frogot what it actually says but its close to that). Then after (or before) the download is finished you can pick options like (open file) or (open folder that has the file in it) and etc.
FIREFOX IS COOL, BUT NEEDS TO UPGRADE ITS INTERFACE FROM VERSION 1.

firefox 3.5 beta 4

this version of firefox is for REAL! IE8 downloaded through auto updates and all i had was problems. i tried several browsers and i'm sticking with this one. i cant even remove IE8 from my laptop. they showed me a list of all the programs that would not work if i did.i cant stand microsoft and their monoploy. the next one i buy will be apple. anyway, the browser wars are on and i'm glad to be a member of the firefox family.keep up the great work.

Bug triage, confirming bugs, and identifying regression ranges

Hi all - here are some more areas that you might be interested in.

We have an ongoing need for individuals to help confirm bugs and get them in the right bucket.  Sometimes there are also cases where we find a bug, but need help hunting down a regression range. That means hunting down old builds and try the steps to reproduce to see when the bug was introduced.

I am willing to help anyone interested get started in these efforts. Please contact me if you are interested!  Thanks.
