Greetings!
Please join us this coming Friday (7/25) for a Community Test Day, where we will focus on exercising Firefox 3.1 Alpha 1 builds.
One really cool feature you will want to explore is "ctrl-tab", and you'll have a chance to see some improvements to the Awesome bar.
What: Firefox 3.1 Alpha 1 (build1)
When: Friday (7/25), 7am - 5pm PDT
Where: IRC on irc.mozilla.org, channel #testday
How you can help:
1. Install the build - ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/3.1a1-candidates/b...
2. Explore the "ctrl-tab" feature and go through the Awesome bar tests in Litmus
3. Give us your feedback, leaving a comments on the event post or directly on the #testday channel on IRC

3. Exercise general functionality in Firefox 3.1 Alpha1
Preparing for Test Day:
1. Back up your profile and/or create a new profile for testing.
2. Get the Mozilla QA Companion! It's the easiest way to run tests cases, search for bugs, and get connected on IRC! (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5428)
Contributing to Test Day:
1. Join us on IRC on the irc.mozilla.org server, and join the #testday channel. This will give you a chance to participate with the Mozilla QA team and other volunteers in the community. There are always friendly people in the channel to get help from.
2. Ask the moderators in the IRC channel how you can help. You can run some of the tests listed in our Litmus system, for example, or you can help by confirming the bugs listed here http://tinyurl.com/67pm3b (Firefox fixed bugs)
