Hi,

The success and quality of Firefox is dependent on community members like you, so we appreciate your help with testing!

Please join the Mozilla QA Community for the Firefox 3 Beta 5 Testday (We will use the Release Candidate for testing)!

The event will run Friday, March 28th, 2008, from 7am - 5pm PDT

How to prepare for the test day:

  • We will use the Firefox 3 Beta 5 Release Candidate. You can download the Firefox 3 Beta 5 Release Candidate from here http://tinyurl.com/2s4a7c
  • Feel free to test also a localized builds! (that builds other then en-US like de for german, fr for french etc.)
  •  You should either back up your profile or use the profile manager to create a new profile for testing.

Note: We will test the Release Candidate of Firefox 3 Beta 5 not
the Final Release Version of Firefox 3 Beta 5 on this testday. As soon
as the Firefox 3 Beta 5 Version is released, please update to the
released Version.

How you can help with this test day:*

First join us in #testday on irc.mozilla.org. Then choose one or more of

the following things to do:

  • Run Basic Functional Tests (bft) / Full Functional Tests (fft) in Litmus
or any test of your choice (we have also special testareas for Users of
Windows Vista and Mac OS 10.5 Leopard). Ask for help in the testday
channel if you're not familiar with Litmus. If a testcase is terribly
unclear, mark it as such. When you have questions about using Litmus,
please ask the moderators in the testday channel or see the Litmus tutorial.

Please visit http://quality.mozilla.org/events/test-days for all other info regarding the event.

Please use testday@mozilla.org to send feedback about how the testday went, any overall thoughts about
the Testday, and roll up of issues found and bugs filed.

We really appreciate your help and your feedback is very valuable.
