A lot of bugs are filed every day by our community of users and testers. Because so many get filed, we have a lot of bugs that sit in an "unconfirmed" status. This does not mean that the bugs are unimportant. Rather, this means that no developer or bug triager has been able to either confirm the bug exists or resolve the bug in some form.

So here is where we jump in.

We have set a goal of dropping the number of unconfirmed bugs. This means triaging bugs and either confirming or closing them.

Please help us reach this goal. You can help us most in two ways:

1. Join our regular Bug-Days (see the Bug-Day Page http://quality.mozilla.org/events/bug-days) and meet some other cool triagers from the community having some fun in bugzilla.mozilla.org. This is a great place for those who are new to learn more about how to work inside bugzilla.

2. If you don't have time to join Bug-Day or you prefer to work on your own, it's no problem. Use one of the queries below to do some unconfirmed bug triage, specifically of Firefox bugs.

If you have questions or need help, just ping ss or tomcat on irc.mozilla.org. You can also CC Sam (ss) and Carsten (tomcat) in bugzilla when you are unsure about the right way to deal with a bug. To do this, in the CC field in bugzilla, type:

:tomcat

and

:sps

This will CC both tomcat and ss and will send us an email about it.
