Welcome to
the Firefox Test Day page!
Thank you for your interest in Firefox Test Days. The success and
quality of Firefox is dependent on community members like you, so we
appreciate your help with testing!
As we get closer to the release of Firefox 3, we will be having Test
Days every Friday! So you will have plenty of chances to get involved.
Here's how to participate...
- Get on IRC... join #testday on irc.mozilla.org (see FAQ
below for help)
- Choose one or more of the following things to do:
- Run Basic
Functional Tests (BFT) or Full Functional Tests (FFT) on Litmus
- Password Manager
in Litmus. Ask for help in the testday channel if
you're not familiar with Litmus. If a testcase is terribly unclear,
mark it as such.
- Try some ad-hoc
testing of features and file/update bugs in Buzilla!
Please send any feedback to testday@mozilla.org.
We are very interested to hear about how the test day went and welcome
suggestions on how to improve our events. Thanks for the support!

FAQ
1. Where do I start?
2. Ok, I am in the channel, now what?
- Let the moderators know if you have any questions or
encounter any problems. If you are not familiar with our bugzilla bug
tracking system, feel free to report your problems to a
moderator and they can log any bugs for you.
3. What build should I test?
4. Any tips for beginners?
5. Where do I find Litmus?
- Go to Litmus
(http://litmus.mozilla.org)
- Log in and then select run
tests
- You can do a smoketest or a Basic Functional Test, it is
entirely up to you!
- Talk to a moderator if you need help.
- Please make sure to choose the correct platform when you
start your run.
6. Who will be moderating the #testday channel?
There are a number of Mozilla QA team members in the channel that can
help... look for:
- jay, juanb, coop, Tomcat, mw22, timr, tchung, tracy,
ctalbert, marcia, albillings, stephend, timK
7. How do I file bugs?
First, let one of the moderators
know so they can check if it is already a known problem. Then they can
guide you to either provide more details, update an
existing bug or file a new bug.
If filing a new bug, please do a quick check to see if the bug already
exists. This can easily be done by searching for the error message,
window name, or some over identifing feature of the bug.
8. How do I send feedback?
Please use the testday@mozilla.org
to send feedback about how the testday went, any overall thoughts about
the Testday, and roll up of issues found and bugs filed.
We really appreciate your help today and your feedback is very
valuable.
