Mozilla QA needs your help with Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 Test Week!
MozQA is trying a new event called Test Week. This is sort of Bugday and Testday rolled together but spread out over an entire week. We're changing to this format to improve flexibility for you, our QA community, to contribute to these events. In addition to the scheduled Bugday (Tuesday) and Testday (Friday) times, tasks will be posted that anyone can work on at anytime during the week.
This Test Week will focus on the Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 candidate
Please use the nightly builds from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-1.9.1/ as we are not likely to have a candidate build available this week.
- Go to Litmus and run the a set of smoketests or BFTS against a candidate build. File any bugs you find in Bugzilla.
- Perform exploratory testing on the candidate builds.
- Test many of the newly implemented features such as:
- Private Browsing
- Clear Recent History
- <video> and <audio> elements, the W3C Geolocation API, JavaScript query selectors, CSS 2.1 and 3 properties, SVG transforms and offline applications. More info on this is located here: http://developer.mozilla.org/En/Firefox_3.1_for_developers
- Download one of our localized versions
- Verify recent fixed bugs from this query: http://tinyurl.com/7xvcoe .
- Ensure that the bug is fixed as stated in the bug
- When applicable, please change fixed1.9.1 to verified1.9.1
- Write test cases for in-litmus? requests.
Please leave comments and/or questions below ->
How do I get ready?

New Format
I liked the format of this a lot more than the old testdays. I'm always at work almost the entire time these test days are going on, so when they span multiple days I actually get a chance to participate a little.
I just got windows 7, and am gonna get Ubuntu back running on my computer, because I know I can use these for the next test week if it's in the same format.
