Explore Test Scripting with MozMill 1.1!
Sunday April 5, 2009 @ 13:46 - aakashd
The MozQA community is holding a Testday this Friday, April 10th, for users interested in the use, development and/or testing of Mozmill! We're going to have the Mozmill team available to help create automated test cases, perform exploratory testing on Mozmill and just generally chat about the project for the community via IRC Chat (channel #testday on irc://irc.mozilla.org). So, if you're interested, come on by anytime between 7AM to 5PM PDT this Friday!
How do I get ready?
This is what we're doing...
Join the MozQA Community in Exploring MozMill 1.1!

******Update: We're going to start testscript creation based on the General Subgroup under the Basic Functional Tests on the Firefox 3.5 Testrun on Litmus due to ease of test writing. Please feel free to create testscripts for testcases in the History, Bookmarks, Options, or Search subgroups.
Use Pastebin URLs to send code snippets to other members. Lastly, to add any testscripts created, please attach them to the following bugzilla bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487755 . Make sure to follow the instructions.
You can use the test template as quick way to create a new test file. Further instructions about the test template are on bug 487755.
Otherwise, have fun with the event!

Here's some of the things we're planning on doing throughout the day:
- Go to Litmus and head over to the General Subgroup located in the Basic Functional Test Testgroup. From there, try to create some test scripts following those manual test cases!
- Perform exploratory testing on the latest MozMill build.
- Tell us what you think about your experience as well as log any bugs via Bugzilla.
