Firefox 3.5RC1 Builds Available (Linux and Mac)

Friday, June 12th, 2009 @ 08:58 by juanbMozQA Badge

Firefox 3.5RC1 builds are now available for testing, with the exception of signed Windows builds, which will be available Monday morning. You can find the builds here.

QA will start testing right away. If you have some time to help out, please be sure to sign up in the test plan wiki. We'd like to get a good, thorough pass before signing off on this candidate build so it can be shipped. We will be hanging out in the #qa channel on IRC if you have questions.

We are very close!

Issues

I also had issues with the 3.5 beta 99 under Firefox, but not under IE. After I saw this post, I tried to access YouTube, and it wasn't working for me at all. There was also an issue with flash video. casino en ligne

Lots of problems with 3.5

I have had considerable trouble with 3.5 beta 4, 3.5 beta 99, and 3.5 RC 1.  These problems are happening on TWO DIFFERENT COMPUTERS.  These problems did NOT occur with FF 3.0, and they do not occur with IE or Chrome.
There are many sites that load incompletely, if at all.  Youtube.com does not load at all.  Metacafe.com pages do not load completely, and videos don't play.  Dailymotion.com loads properly, but videos don't play.  That goes for both traditional flash videos and the new "openvideo" format.
(OTOH, videos from some other sites such as Hulu do play properly.)

3.5 on Vista

The signed version has been quite stable for me so far, later today I hope to put it through a bit more rigorous test consisting of Quicktime movie viewing, Flash, and if I can find a site using it, test of the new tags utilizing the OpenOgg support.  I may also take a stab at recreating crash conditions to help get this as stable as possible.

FF stress test on W7 RC...

I just throw 122 pages in tabs and saved to bookmarks...none problems at all. CPU about 45%, RAM about 700MB and working fine a bit slow maybe. After closing 122 tab pages FF still uses about 400MB of Ram !!!. Peacekeeper score 1642 (3.5b4 was 1588). Using on 2GHz dual core laptop,3GB ram,W7 RC.

Firefox 3.5 RC1 on Windows 7 RC1

I use the unsigned RC1 for Windows and it's totally stable. :)
The new logo looks also very good.
